Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research at Puducherry invites candidates with Graduation / PG degree in Medical (MBBS/MS) qualification for recruitment as Senior Residents & Junior Residents.
JIPMER is an organization of Government of India under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare to provides quality higher education in Medical field. It is proposed to fill the vacancies available for SR & JR in the institute. There are as many as 270 posts vacant. So the institute will conduct walk-in-Interview on a continuous basis on second week of every month starting from 6th March, 2013.
There are 70 vacancies in 15 different medical fields including EMSD (Casualty), Anesthesiology, Orthopedics, Surgery etc for sr. Residents & 41 vacancies for Jr. residents.
Eligibility for JIPMER Resident Recruitment :
Educational qualification : Candidates applying for the post of Jr. Resident should have a degree in Medical science & have completed one year compulsory internship. For senior Residents, candidates should have a post graduate degree in medical science in the respective specialty / Discipline.
Age Limit : Age of the candidates applying for Sr. Resident post with JIPMER should be below 33 years. there will be no upper age limit for Jr. Resident post.
Salary / Pay Scale : For Jr. Residents B/Pay Rs.15, 600+5,400 GP (revised scale) per month with other allowances inclusive of NPA. for Sr. Residents B/Pay Rs.18750/-Plus Grade Pay of Rs. 6600/- (Revised) and other usual allowances per month.

Mode of Selection : Interview / Written Test. Interested and Eligible candidates may attend the Written test/Interview along with their original certificates documents to be held as per the following schedule.

Walk-in Venue : Charakka Theatre, Ground Floor, Admin Block, JIPMER, Puducherry-06. Candidates who are not able to attend the interview on 6th March, 2013 can attend the subsequent walk-in interviews conducted on second week of every month. Candidates should also download the detailed notification & Application for recruitment of Sr. Residents & Jr. residents.
Recruitment Fees : General and OBC candidates have to carry Demand Draft of Rs.500/- & SC/ST candidates Rs.250/- drawn in favour of Accounts Officer, JIPMER, Puducherry-06(Code No-2238) as recruitment fee for both Senior resident & Junior Resident Posts. There is no fee for payable by Differently Abled candidates.
