Role of Institutions
Reputed Institutes / Colleges located in India offering Masters Degree in Business Management (MBA / MMS) / Economics / Econometrics / Finance / Banking / Law (five year programme) may forward the applications of eligible / interested students to the respective "Control Office of Reserve Bank of India" as given below with the recommendations in the prescribed form.

Eligibility
Students pursuing Post-Graduation courses in Management / Economics / Econometrics/ Banking / Finance / Law (five year programme) can apply for summer placement during their 2nd semester.
How to apply
Eligible students should apply for summer placement in the prescribed form given below through their respective institutes to the respective "Control Office of Reserve Bank of India". Last date for receipt of applications is 30th November of the previous year.
Selection
The Bank will select a maximum of 70 students for summer placement every year. In the month of December each year, the interview for the short listed candidates will be held at the offices indicated above. The short listed outstation candidates will be required to bear the travel costs of to / for to the office of RBI for this purpose. Names of selected students will be communicated to the institutes in the month of January/February.
Selected outstation candidates will be paid / reimbursed AC II Tier / 1st Class return fare by rail from the place of his/her institute to the place of summer placement for undertaking the project.
Declaration of Secrecy
Summer trainees are required to furnish a declaration of secrecy to the Bank before reporting for the internship.
Duration
Normally the period of placement will be for a maximum of three months during the period from April to July.
Place of Summer Training
Summer trainees will be required to undertake the project in various Central Office Departments in Mumbai or the respective Control Offices located at metro cities.
Facilities
Summer trainees are eligible to receive a token monthly stipend of Rs.12,500/- per month. Outstation trainees will be required to make accommodation arrangements of their own.

Who can apply?
Students pursuing higher studies in economics, finance, banking, management, law (five year programme) and related fields in universities / institutes abroad will be eligible to apply.

Eligible students should fill out an application in prescribed form and mail it to the address given below.

An advance copy of the application can be e-mailed.
When to apply?
Applications should be forwarded to the above address between November 1st and December 31st. Applications received after this date will not be considered.
Duration
The normal duration of summer placement will be for a maximum of three months during the period from July to October every year.
Selection
Applicants will be informed about their selection before February 15 every year along with other information such as the area/topic of study, related department of the Bank, name of the Guide etc.
Place of Summer Training
Selected Trainees will be required to undertake a project only at Central Office departments of the Bank located in Mumbai.
Declaration of Secrecy
