PGCIL requires Executive Trainees in Electrical Discipline and recruits through GATE 2012. So Power Grid Corporation of India Limited advises aspiring candidates to register & appear for Electrical Engineering (EE) paper of GATE 2012 Examination. The GATE 2012 is now announced by IITs. The 17th Batch of Executive trainees will be recruited in the year 2012.

- Last date to Apply for GATE Online Application : 17 Oct 2011
- Last date to receive hard copy of Online Application at GATE Offices : 24 Oct 2011
- Date of GATE Examination : 12 Feb 2012
- Announcement of GATE Results : 15 Mar 2012
- Commencement of POWERGRID Online Registration : 4 Jan 2012
- Last date for POWERGRID Online Registration : 15 Feb 2012
Age Limit : Not more than 28 years as on 31.12.2011.
Selection Procedure : GATE - 2012 score - Group Discussion - Personal Interview
Qualification : Full Time B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg) from recognized University/Institute in Electrical / Electrical and Electronics / Power Engineering Disciplines with Minimum 65% or Equivalent CGPA. OR AMIE in Electrical Discipline with Minimum 65% with both Sections A & B cleared by 31.03.2012.
