Karnataka Government has instituted Karnataka Electricity Board (KEB) for generation, procurement, supply & service of Electricity in Karnataka. In order to improve the performance of the power sector and to be in par with the reforms initiated by Central Government of India, Karnataka Government passed Karnataka Electricity Reforms Act (KERC). As per the new reforms act, the erstwhile KEB was converted as Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited. There are total 9000 teachers posts vacant in Karnataka Government Schools, Adarsha Vidyalaya, RMSA Upgraded Higher Primary Schools in all the four divisions of Karnataka. The recruitment will be done through Divisional level Combined Competitive Exam according to The Karnataka Education Department Service (Department of Public Instruction) (Recruitment) rules 2002. There are vacancies for Language Teachers in Kannada, English, Hindi, Tamil, Sanskrit, Urdu & Teachers for Physics, Biology & Arts subjects to teach in Kannada, English & Urdu Medium.
