Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Karnataka including the wards of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants for registration for the “Common Entrance Test-2013” for admissions to first year Medical / Dental / Indian System of Medicine - Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga / Engineering / Technology / Architecture courses for the seats to be notified by the Government in the Professional Educational Institutions in the state of Karnataka for the academic year 2013-14.

imageA candidate must appear for the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, for PCB subjects in case of admission to Medical / Dental / Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani / Naturopathy & Yoga courses and PCM subjects in case of admission to Engineering / Technology courses. For admission to Architecture course the candidate must appear for NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) conducted by the Council of Architecture. (Visit KEA website for list of institutions conducting NATA).

The Government has directed the Karnataka & Examinations Authority to conduct Common Entrance Test on 28-04-2010 and 29-04-2010 for the year 2013-14 for admission to Medical, Dental, Indian Systems of Medicine / Homoeopathy/ Engineering / Technology courses as per the following Time Table.

Eligibility criteria for Karnataka CET:

For Medical/Dental Courses:
A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology with atleast 50% aggregate marks in PCB(40% for SC/ST/OBC). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2013 can also apply. Also a candidate should have attained the age of 17 years but not more than 25 years as on 31st December, 2013.
For Engineering Courses:
A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Mathematics and any of the Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology with atleast 45% aggregate marks in optional subjects(40% for SC/ST/OBC). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2013 can also apply.
For Architecture Course:
A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with Mathematics with atleast 50% aggregate marks in all the subjects(45% for SC/ST/OBC). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2013 can also apply. Candidates should have also appeared in NATA and got atleast 40% marks in it.

Availability of CET Application forms:

The Application forms for Karnataka CET will be available in schools and colleges of the Karnataka CET. For those residing outside Karnataka the form can be obtained by post from KEA by sending a Demand Draft along with the request for form.

Examination scheme:
There will be separate papers for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Each paper will consist of 60 objective type questions and will be of 80 minutes duration.

Pay Scale / Salary : Candidates selected for AAO Jobs in LIC will be paid Basic pay of Rs.17240 /- per month in the scale of Rs.17240- 840(14) –29000– 910(4)–32640 + Allowances. Currently the LIC AAOs in A Class Cities are drawing Approx. Rs.33,418/- per month. The Pay scale is under revision & the salary may increase further.

Probationary Period is initially for One year but can be extendable up to 2 years as per the requirements.

Eligibility Criteria for LIC Recruitment of AAO :

Education Qualification : Bachelor / Master’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/ Institution with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate in either of the Degrees.

Age Limit : As on 1st March, 2013 the age of the candidates applying for LIC AAO Recruitment should be more than 21 years & below 30 years. That means candidates born between 02/03/1983 and 01/03/1992 only are eligible. However candidates belong to reserved categories have age relaxation as per Indian Government Jobs rules.
