National Eligibility Test - 2010

The University Grants Commission (UGC)announces holding of the National Eligibility Test (NET) on 27th June, 2010 (Sunday) for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Award of Junior Research Fellowships (JRF) and eligibility for Lectureship in Indian universities and colleges. UGC will conduct NET in 77 (seventy seven) subjects at 66 (sixty six) selected University Centres spread across the country.  

Important Dates

Application Submission Start Date : 25-3-2010
Application Submission End Date : 26-4-2010
Last date for receiving the documents* at the test center: 30-4-2010
Examination Date : 27-6-2010

Age Limit :

• Junior Research Fellowship : Not more than 28 years as on 01.06.2010.
• Lectureship : No upper age limit

How to Apply :

1. Download the Bank Challan and pay the fee as mentioned in the challan at the nearby State Bank of India Branch
2. Scan the Passport Size Photograph
3. Click on Online Application (www.ugcnetonline.in)
4. Fill the Details and Submit the form
5. Take Printout of :
• Online Application Form,
• Attendance Slip and
• Admission Card on separate A-4 size papers
6. Paste recent passport sized photograph,
7. Put signature at the required space,
8. Attach attested copy of SC/ST/OBC(Non-creamy layer)/PH/VH certificate, if applicable
9. Certificate of educational qualification/ research experience entitling the candidate for age relaxation .
10. Send the All the above documents with UGC marked copy of Bank Challan to the Registrar of the university (UGC Test Centre) from where the candidate has opted to appear for the Test. The envelope containing the Application Form should be superscribed “UGC NATIONAL ELIGIBILITY TEST FOR JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP AND ELIGIBILITY FOR LECTURESHIP, JUNE, 2010”.

• Attendance Slip
• Admission Card
• Fee Receipt
• Category Certificates
