Education Qualification :
- Assistant Engineer : B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) in Electrical / Civil with minimum 60% marks.
- Junior Engineers / SSA : Diploma in Electrical / Civil OR B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) in Electrical / Civil with minimum 60% marks.
- Accounts Officer / Accountant : CA / ICWA / M.Com with 60% marks & 1 year post qualification experience.
- UDC : Degree in Commerce / Science / Arts / Computers with one year computer course.
- Draftsman : Diploma in Electrical / Civil with minimum 60% marks. Have passed 3 months certified course in AutoCAD for Electrical / Civil Drawings.
- Assistant Manager (HR) : MBA (HR / IRW) with min 60% marks. Should have 1 year post qualification experience.
- Assistant Manager (IT) : B.E / B.Tech / MCA / B.Sc (Engineering) in IT / Computer Science with minimum 60% marks.
- Electrician : Full time Regular ITI in electrical trade with min 60% marks.
- Law Officer : Degree in Law with min. 60% marks. Should have 3 years post qualification experience.
Pay Scale / Salary :
- Assistant Engineer / Accounts Officer / Assistant Manager : Rs. 16650 – 39100 + Rs. 5800 Grade pay.
- Junior Engineers / Draftsman : Rs. 10900 – 34800 + Rs. 4450 Grade Pay.
- SSA : Rs. 6400 – 20200 + Rs. 2950 Grade Pay.
- UDC : Rs. 6400 – 20200 + Rs. 3200 Grade Pay.
- Electrician : Rs. 6400 – 20200 + Rs. 2450 Grade Pay.
- Accountant : Rs. 10900 – 34800 + Rs. 4700 Grade Pay.
- Law Officer : Rs. 10900 – 34800 + Rs. 5500 Grade Pay.
Examination Fee : Rs. 400/- (Rs. 200/- for SC). through Fee Challan payable at any branch of AXIS Bank C-DAC collection - PSTCL Application Fee Account No. 91102004961571.
Age Limit : (As on 01-01-2011) Minimum 18 years – Maximum 37 years (42 years for SC/BC)
How to Apply : online application
- Visit Online Application Link (provided below)
- Fill all the details & generate registration number.
- Take print out of computer generated form, acknowledgement Slip & Bank Fee Payment challan. (two copies)
- Paste recent photograph on the application at the space provided and get it attested from a notary or a Gazetted officer. (Note : This allotted registration number slip will be used as identification slip at the time of written test, interview and also counseling, if called for).
- Visit nearby branch of AXIS BANK along with the downloaded Bank Fee payment Challan & depositing the fee.
Correction of Application in case of any mistakes : If by mistake the candidate has filled in wrong data, he/she can correct the data from 15th November 2011 to 05th December 2011 up to 5:00 PM. By entering his/her registration number and password. Henceforth no editing will be done and thereafter data will be locked and no change will be acceptable/ allowed.

Govt. of Punjab carved out following two corporations out of erstwhile PSEB into two separate corporation called Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) & Punjab State Transmission Corporation Limited (PSTCL). PSTCL will Act as State Transmission Utility (STU), PSTCL has been entrusted with the transmission business of the erstwhile Punjab State Electricity Board (PSEB). Functions of State Load Dispatch Center shall also be discharged by PSTCL.

BCA candidates can apply for UDC (General). For Assistant Manager (IT) you need engineering degree or MCA.
can a bsc.it candidate apply for the post of Udc(general)or not
why only bca and pgdca holder are eligible for the post of udc(general).bsc(it) is also equlavent to bca . ths is tottaly unfair with us.
why bsc.it candidates are not applied for the post of uda(general)
But how sir there no option to select the other degree on the registation form rather than graudation(sci,commerce,arts and bca)pgca

BA / B.Sc / B.Com / BCA Degree Holders can apply for UDC(General). B.Sc (IT) holders can also apply for UDC(General). Select Sc option at Graduation dropdown box.
The comment by Antharjaala is a reply for the previous commenter who asked whether he/she can apply for Assistant Manager(IT). For UDC(General) Post any graduates can apply.

i think there is requied pgdca with any graduation includind bsc.it
It Seems like they have made it compulsory for the candidates to have a computer course mandatory. Unfortunately they forgot to mention the equivalent degree.

SIR WHAT IS THE HIGHEST SCORE IN UDC GERNALIN PTCL
The Written Examination for the posts of Electrician Grade - II & SSA (Addisional SSO) held on 14-04-2012 under PSTCL is cancelled. The Exam for these posts are rescheduled to be conducted on 28-04-2012. The Candidates are hereby informed to downloadt the admit cards again.
Change the selection criteria for all reserved candidates to 40% rather than 50% like in PSPCL :)
