About Common Written Examination 2011 (CWE):

CWE 2011 is conducted by IBPS. The candidates who appear for this exam will be provided with a score card on successful completion of the exam. These score card can be further used to applying for Banking Jobs. The validity of this score card is 1 year. This Exam & System of Common Written Exam is approved by 19 Public Sector Banks, Indian Banking Association (IBA) & Govt. of India. Now it’s mandatory for any candidates seeking employment in these public sector banks to appear for CWE conduced by IBPS.

Indian Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) :

IBPS is the autonomous body constituted by Indian Banking Association to conduct Common Written Examination for Recruitment of Banking Personnel. IBPS will conduct CWE two times in a year. This will reduce the cost & burden of conducting Written Examinations by each of the Participating Banks individually. This will also reduce the burden for Bank employment seeking candidates. They need not to prepare and appear for multiple examinations conducted by different banks.

Age Limit (As on 01.08.2011) : Minimum: 18 Years Maximum: 28 Years (Age relaxation Applicable as per the recruitment Rules i.e up to 33 years for SC/ST, 31 years for OBC, 38 years for Physically Handicapped persons).

Education Qualification :

  • A pass with 60% marks in the aggregate in SSLC/Matriculation/SSC (old pattern)/10th
    std. Examination. OR
  • A pass with 50% marks in HSC examination of 10+2 (10+2+3 pattern) /11th Std. of
    (11+1+3) pattern or Intermediate/Pre-University or any equivalent examination/Diploma
    in Banking.  OR
  • Pass in any Degree
