NESAC Recruitment 2013 – Research Scientist, JRF Vacancies. North East Space Applications Center, Meghalaya invites applications for recruitment of 10 Research Scientists & 05 Junior Research Fellows for it’s facility at Umiam, Meghalaya. The NESAC is a Research  & Development Organization functioning under the Department of Space, Government of India.

Eligibility for careers in NESAC :

Name of the Post & Total No. of Vacancies :

• Research Scientist : 10 Vacancies. (01 post each in the disciplines of Meteorology / Physics, Geo Physics, Hydrology, Geology, Environment, Database / Geo informatics, Networking, Systems, Communication, RS & GIS)
• Junior Research Fellow : 05 Vacancies

Education Qualification : Candidates applying for any of these posts should have completed M.Sc / B.E / B.Tech / M.Tech in relevant disciplines. Having additional Diploma, Certificate course & experience in relevant areas is an added advantage.

Age Limit (As on 21.02.2013) : Age of the candidates applying for Research Scientist should not be more than 35 Years. The Age limit for JRF candidates is minimum 18 years & maximum 30 years. (Age relaxation of 5 years applicable for candidates belong to SC/ST & 3 years for OBC).

Pay Scale / Salary : The Research Scientists will be posted in the pay band of Rs. 15600-39100 with Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-. The gross emoluments in the minimum of Pay Band will
at present be approximately  Rs. 36120/-. JRFs will be provided with fellowship amount of Rs. 16,000. In addition HRA at the prescribed rates in force at the place of posting will be paid and Medical benefits will be allowed as per extant rules.
