The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) Conducts National Eligibility test for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for the Award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship in Indian universities and colleges. UGC will conduct NET in seventy seven subjects.

About NET
The National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission (UGC) conducts National Eligibility Test (NET) to determine eligibility for lectureship and for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for Indian nationals in order to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in the teaching profession and research. The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) conducts the UGC-CSIR NET for other Science subjects
UGC conducts NET twice a year, i.e., in the months of June and December. The notifications announcing the June and December examinations are published in the months of March and September respectively

seriously i wanted to know the carelessness and irresponsible working of ugc.y result declaretion is so late.this is very poor condition of ur department that ur un likely to declare the dec result in a reasonable time.i think it was sopposed to b declared in the month of april.so the studnts who qualifies the dec exam,but he /she have registered 4 june 2011 exam bcause he is unaware of dec result.now what about those students who will pass in dec 2010 exam will there form fees 4 june NET exam b refunded.if not then u must extend the dates
of NET exam form subbmission date.kindly return the form fees of those students who have registered 4 june exam butqualifies the dec exams KINDLY DECLARE THE DEC 200
