SSC Recruitment - Stenographers Exam. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) invites applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Stenographers (Grade ‘C’ & Grade ‘D’) through Combined All India Open Exam. SSC conducts this exam every year to recruit candidates for filling up of Stenographer vacancies available in various central government departments. Combined All India Open Examination for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and Grade ‘D’ is open for all Indian citizens who meet the following minimum eligibility criteria set by SSC Recruitment Rules.

Name of the Exam : STENOGRAPHERS (GRADE ‘C’ &‘D’) EXAMINATION, 2013
Age Limit : Minimum 18 years Maximum 27 years as on 01.08.2013.
Education Qualification : 12th Standard or equivalent
Exam Fee : Rs. 100/- (No Fee for Women / SC/ ST/ PH/ Ex-S Candidates)
How to Pay Exam Fee :
Written
Exam is followed by Skill Test. The skill test is on qualifying in
nature and candidates have to transcribe the 10 minute dictation in English / Hindi. For Group "D", 80 WPM speed is required and should be completed in 40 Min. for English / 55 Min. for Hindi. For Group "C", 100 WPM speed is required and provided with 50 min. for English / 65 Min. for Hindi.

SSC Stenographers Exam Syllabus :
SSC
Stenographers Written Exam will include questions from General
Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, English Language and
Comprehension.
Vacancies :
Vacancies of Stenographer Grade ‘D’ are for Ministries/Departments of Central Government including Attached/Subordinate Offices located in States and Union Territories all over the country. Vacancies of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ posts are expected to be located mostly in Delhi / New Delhi
