There is lot of research work going on in the field of Agriculture & Bio technology. The new technologies are evolving in the field of Agriculture around the world. The central government and Andhra Pradesh State Government also come with various programs & schemes to farmers. To provide these new technologies & schemes to the farmers, AP Government have started a department of Agriculture. The department Agricultural provides Extension services to farmers. The department is recruiting Agriculture Officers to extend it’s reach to all the farmers in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Recruitment of Agriculture Officers 2012
Name of the Post : Agriculture Officer
Total No. of Vacancies : 16 Backlog Posts (SC / ST / BC / PH / Women) – 458 Posts for General Candidates.
Education Qualification : B.Sc (Agriculture) from any recognized university.
Age Limit (As on 01.07.2012) : Not More than 36 Years.
Pay Scale / Salary : Rs.16150-450-17050-490-18520-530-20110-570-21820-610-23650-650-25600-700-27700-750-29950-800-32350-850-34900-900-37600-970-40510-1040-42590
Selection Procedure : Direct Recruitment based on merit score in B.Sc (Agriculture).
However Candidates should note that, those who have been selected as Agriculture Officers should pass Agricultural Department Test, Accounts Test for Executive Officers and 2nd Class Language Test in Telugu within two years from the date of appointment
