Education Qualification : Certificate of competency (License) issued by Maharashtra Maritime Board/Mercantile Marine Dept. as per Indian Vessel Act in concerned discipline / full time three years Diploma  or  Degree in Mechanical / Mechanical & Industrial Engg. / Mechanical & Production Engg. / Production Engg / Marine Engineering / Electrical / Power Engineering / Electrical & Electronics / Electrical & Instrumentation / Electronics / Electronics & Communication / Allied Electronics & Instrumentation / Electronics & Telecommunication / National Apprenticeship Certificate Examination in the relevant Trade conducted  by NCVT.

Age Limit (As on 1st August 2012) : Minimum 18 Years - Maximum 33 Years.

Pay Scale / Salary : Basic Pay + Industrial DA, HRA, Transport Subsidy, CPF.

• Mistry (IDA-9) : Basic pay of Rs.10000/- per month in the first year and Rs.10100/- in the second year.
• Special Gr (ID-8) : Basic pay of Rs.9500/- pm in the first year and Rs.9595/- in the second year. 
• Skilled Gr-I (IDA-5) : Basic Pay  of  Rs.7500/- pm in the first year and Rs.7575/- in the second year.     
• Semi Skilled Gr-III (ID-4A) : Basic pay of Rs.7250/- pm in the first year and Rs.7323/- in the second year. 
• Semi Skilled Gr-I(IDA-2) : Basic Pay of Rs.6000/- pm in the first year and Rs.6060/- in the second year.
