Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti the autonomous body for administration of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas invites applications from V Std students through School Head Masters / Principals/ BEO for appearing for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test 2014. Age Limit : A candidate seeking admission must not have been born before 01-05-2001and after 30-04-2005.
Important Dates :
  • The last date for submission of Application Form in BEO’s Office : 31-10-2013
  • Date of Examination : On Sunday, the 8th February, 2014 at 11.30 A.M.
  • Date of Examination in North East States & far flung areas : On Saturday 12th April, 2014 11.30 A.M
  • Date of Examination in some parts of J&K, HP : On Saturday 07th June, 2014 at 11.30 A.M
  • Announcement of Results : End of May 2014
There are totally 595 Navodaya’s across the country out of which 583 are functioning. A maximum of eighty students are admitted in Class VI in each Vidyalaya. The education & other facilities in the vidyalaya is free including boarding, lodging, uniforms and textbooks till Class VIII. From Class IX  a nominal fee of Rs.200/- per month will have to be paid.

How to Apply :
  • The JNV Entrance Exam Application-cum-prospectus is available at the office of BEO, DEO, JNV & School Head Masters. The students should collect the application form
  • The filled application form should be duly attested by the school head master  & submitted to the BEO before last date.
  • The BEO will issue the acknowledgement for receipt of Application
  • If the applications are not available from any of the above offices, the same can be downloaded from the following link & print of a A4 sheet paper
Scheme of JNV Entrance Exam : Composition of the Test

The selection test will be of two-hour duration and will have 3 sections with only objective type questions. There are 100 questions in all of 100 marks. Each question carries one mark:
