Maharashtra Forest Department invites online applications from eligible candidates for recruitment of Forest Guards. There are 679 vacancies in the districts of Pune, Yavatmal, Thane, Nashik, Kolhapur, Dhule, and Nagpur. The official website http://forest.mkcl.org & http://www.mahaforest.nic.in have more details. Education Qualification : The candidates applying for Forest Guard job in Maharashtra should have passed 12th Standard / PUC / 10+2 or any equivalent qualification from recognized education board.

Age Limit : As on 31-07-2012 the candidate’s age should be more than 18 years & less than 25 years. That is candidates born after 31st July 1987 & before 31st July 1994 can apply. Candidates from reserved category, Ex-Servicemen, Government employees have age relaxation as per rules.

Physical Standard : For the male candidates, the minimum height should be 163 cm and chest should be 79cm (unexpanded) & 84cm (expanded). For the female candidates, the height measurement should be minimum 150 cm. 

Pay Scale / Salary : The candidates selected as forest guards in Maharashtra forest will be posted in the pay scale of Rs. 5200 – 20200 + Grade Pay of Rs. 1800. Apart from this basic salary structure, the candidates will also receive various allowances and benefits as per the instructions and the allowance policies of the Maharashtra government.

Selection Procedure : The candidates should undergo Physical Standard Test - Physical Fitness Test - Written Exam - Personal Interview & pass through all these process in order to get the job.

Fees : Rs. 200/- for un-reserved, general category candidates, Rs. 100/- for Reserved Category candidates & No fees for Ex-Servicemen. Payment to be made in SBI Bank using printed challan available after registration.
