KPSC Announced the KAS Gazetted Probationers Prelims Exam Notification. The Exam will be conducted for recruitment for 268 posts in Group A and B. The detailed Notification can be downloaded from the link provided below. Important Dates :
- Prelims Exam : 06 / 06 / 2010
- Online Applications Can be submitted from 01 / 02 / 2010
- Last Date for Submission of Online Application : 03 / 03 / 2010
- Last Date for Payment of Fee at Bank : 04 / 03 / 2010
Candidates must have obtained Degree from any recognized University in India. Final Year/ Semester Degree Students can also apply for the prelims exam provided they submit Degree Certificate during the main exam.
Age Limit :
- GM age between 21 - 35 Years
- 2A/2B/3A/3B age between 21 - 38 Years
- SC/ST/CAT1 age between 21 - 40 Years
How to Apply :
- With all the documents visit http://kpsc.kar.nic.in and click on the Online Application Link provided.
- Paste a recent passport size photograph on a white paper and sign under the photo. This photo with signature has to be scanned and uploaded during online application
- Fill all the details and upload the photo scanned.
- Take printout of the application form and fee payment challan
- Visit the Near by Bank branch (Mentioned in the Notification) and pay the fee.

Hi Nazmeen,
In application they have not asked for any details regarding your current employment status or NOC. So for writing Prelims I think you need not to take any permission or NOC. After you clearing the prelims and while writing Main Exam you might have to take NOC.

Hi,
You need not to enter the number. As there will be arrangement with the Banks and KPSC will get the information. One copy of the challan out of 3 copies will be sent to KPSC and they will match the payment against your application.
Once you paid the amount at the bank. After 3-5 days you can check the status at the KPSC website.
Just start preparation for the exam. And read news papers for further updates. You can also visit our website for up-to-date news regarding the KAS.
Diploma holders are not eligible for taking up kas... they are asking for 10+2+3 qualification. over here they consider only this as degree ....
what is the appliction fees.... its not mentioned....is it k if we get challan from sbi?

Application Fee is
Rs.100/- for SC/ST/Cat-1/PH/Ex-Service Men
Rs.300/- for all others.
After applying online you will get the challan printout.
You have to pay in SBM/SBH branches mentioned in the Notification.
You cannot pay in any other branch or bank that is not mentioned in the Notification.

This is Kiran.Rao from Mangalore.I am doing my first year degree.Can someone tell me whether 3 to 4 hours of daily preperation for KAS exam suffiecient enough for clearing out the prelims?How many years will it take for such kind of preperation?
In Mangalore there is not even a single coaching centre for such Administrative competetive exams.May i Know which other city would be the best for such training purpose?
Will the exams be of IAS standard? Is it possible to apply for IAS exam after gettin selCt in KAS?please do reply sir.

KAS Hall Ticket / Admission Tickets will not be sent to you personally through post or courier. You need to download the hall tickets from the website and take a printout of the same. visit following link to download hall tickets.

can u advise wether iam eligible for kas exam, i did my b.com in ignou distance education. i did this with out doing puc . my certificate is very well valid one , i did dis due some problems i couldn,t continue my puc ,but later by appearing 4 an entrace conducted by ignou , i passed and university gave eligibility and i appeared 4 b.com exam.i got passed . now am i eligible 4 kas .
